Lundstar
We offer a food waste recycling service that seeks to turn food waste into a resource by composting it and putting it back into the soil to act as a fertiliser .The system seeks to redirect all the food waste from domestic and commercial kitchens from the general waste bins where it ultimately ends up in a landfill and instead have it in a pile of organic matter where it is composted and reused by farmers as fertiliser.
The service seeks to make food waste composting simple for companies. We will provide the tools needed to implement the system in your facility including the bins that will be used as well as extensive training to ensure the system is implemented effectively by the workers in the facility. Training will be provided on a biannual basis to monitor the systems to ensure it is still working at the maximum possible rate of efficiency and effectiveness .The collection of the food waste bins will be upon request and is estimated to be once every two weeks.

We set up recycling bins and signage as well as provide training where nessesary on how to use the bins and why it is important to use them properly .Additional resources are available such as workforce to sort through recyclables on site . Each item under hazardous waste has a specific ways in which they need to be treated and disposed off ,some of which have the potential to be recycled or upcycled .
Electronic Waste
Electronic waste describes discarded electrical or electronic devices. Used electronics which are intended for upcycling, reuse, resale, salvage recycling through material recovery, or disposal are also considered e-waste. E-waste is considered the "fastest-growing waste stream in the world" with 44.7 million tonnes generated in 2016- equivalent to 4500 Eiffel towers. In 2018, an estimated 50 million tonnes of e-waste was reported. Its value is at least $62.5 billion annually. As Lundstar we have a zero waste policy to reuse and recycling as much waste as possible in the most environmentally friendly way .Our electronic waste goes though many stages of sorting starting with separation into different primary device groups .There is further stripping and sorting of all the materials in the electronic devices such as plastic,copper,glass ,scrap etc .These will then be recycled ,upcycled ,treated or disposed of through an environmentally friendly process according to each materials specification . Food Composting Process
Food waste consists of biodegradable organic material. This means that the waste can decompose into compost .A composting powder that has naturally occurring fungus yeast and probiotics is used to aid the decomposition.
